n8n
The community node n8n-nodes-hela brings Hela into n8n, whether you self-host it or use n8n cloud.
Install
In n8n: Settings → Community nodes → Install, then n8n-nodes-hela. On a Docker instance, N8N_COMMUNITY_PACKAGES_ENABLED=true must be set.
Credentials
Create Hela API credentials:
- API key: a key created in Administration → Developers, with the wanted scopes plus
webhooks:manageandevents:readif you use the trigger; - Base URL:
https://<your-server>/v1; keep the default for the hosted service.
Nodes
Hela Trigger — a webhook trigger. Pick the events (invoice.paid, stock.low, *…). The node creates the webhook when the workflow is activated and removes it on deactivation; it verifies the Hela-Signature of every delivery with the secret it received.
Hela — operations, by resource:
| Resource | Operations |
|---|---|
| Sale | Get, Get Many, Create, Record Payment, Cancel, Refund |
| Quote | Get, Get Many, Create, Convert |
| Purchase | Get, Get Many, Create, Receive, Record Payment |
| Partner | Get, Get Many, Create, Update, Statement |
| Item | Get Many, Create, Update |
| Stock | Get Levels, Get Movements |
| Transaction | Get Many, Create |
| Time Entry | Get Many, Upsert, Bill |
| Event | Get Many |
| Report | Summary, Receivables |
Write operations send an Idempotency-Key derived from the n8n execution id and the item, so a re-run duplicates nothing.
Example: paid invoice → a row in your database
Hela Trigger (invoice.paid) → Set (flatten data) → Postgres (insert)
The trigger outputs one item per event, with the full data and data.total.amount in minor units; a Set node with {{ $json.data.total.amount / 100 }} gives the readable amount for a two-decimal currency — or use the {{ $helaMajor($json.data.total) }} expression the node exposes.
