Clockify, Toggl Track
The Hours page is the team's timesheet: who worked when, employee by employee, typed into Hela or imported. For those who sell time, hours tracked in Clockify or Toggl land in the same place, and billable hours are invoiced in one click.
Connecting
Clockify: in Clockify, Profile → API key, copy it. In Hela, Integrations → Clockify → Connect, paste it; pick the workspace if there are several.
Toggl Track: Profile → API Token, then likewise.
What is imported
Every 30 minutes (or right away with Sync), Hela pulls entries since the last sync — the last thirty days the first time:
| In Clockify / Toggl | In Hela |
|---|---|
| The client | The partner, found by name or created |
| The project | The entry's project |
| The description | The description |
| Start, end, duration | Same, to the minute |
| Billable | Billable |
| The project's hourly rate, if any | The entry's rate |
An entry changed in the tracking tool is updated in Hela as long as it is unbilled; a billed entry is frozen.
Settings
| Setting | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Workspace | the first | The Clockify / Toggl workspace id. |
| All users (Clockify) | yes | Import the whole team's entries, not only the key owner's. |
Billing
Operations → Hours shows the entries and, per client, the unbilled hours. Tick entries — or all of a client's — then Bill: Hela creates an invoice with one line per entry (date, project, description, duration), at the entry's rate or the one you give, and marks the entries billed with the invoice number.
Through the API:
POST /companies/{id}/time-entries/bill
{ "entryIds": ["…", "…"], "businessUnitId": "…", "partnerId": "…", "hourlyRate": 60, "label": "September services" }
partnerId is optional when all entries share a client; hourlyRate (major units) applies to entries without a rate of their own.
Without a tracking tool
The Hours page also lets you log an entry by hand (client, start, end, project, label). time_entry.created is emitted either way, so a sheet or a webhook can be fed.
