Power Automate

For companies on Microsoft 365, Power Automate links Hela to Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and Dynamics.

Custom connector

Hela publishes its OpenAPI schema (GET /openapi.json). Power Automate builds a custom connector from such a schema:

  1. Power Automate → Data → Custom connectors → New → Import an OpenAPI file. Download https://<your-server>/v1/openapi.json first. The connector accepts version 3.0; if the import complains about 3.1, convert with npx openapi-down-convert.
  2. Security: API Key, parameter name Authorization, location Header. When creating the connection, paste Bearer hela_live_… — with the word Bearer and the space.
  3. Definition: operations are already named and described. Hide the ones you do not need to lighten the picker.
  4. Test with GET /companies/{companyId}/sales.

Triggers

Power Automate triggers a flow on an incoming HTTP request: When an HTTP request is received. Create the flow, copy the generated address, then create a webhook in Hela to that address with the wanted events. Paste the catalogue's sample body into Use sample payload so the fields are typed.

The flow must answer 200 quickly (a Response action first) and verify the Hela-Signature header if the address is guessable — a Compose action with hmacSHA256 does it.

Examples

  • Invoice issued → Outlook e-mail to the customer with the PDF (GET /sales/{id}/invoice.pdf) attached.
  • Till closed → Teams message in the management channel, with the totals from data.
  • New Excel row → Hela sale for a team that types its orders into a shared workbook.

Certified connector

A certified Hela connector, ready in the Microsoft directory, is being published. The custom connector described here gives the same result meanwhile.
